Hi all! Anne from The City Sage here. I'm thrilled to be guest blogging at My Favorite Things---thanks to Molly for inviting me!---and I'm very excited to share some of my favorites this week. First up is the stunning work of Arizona photographer Sheila Bocchine. I just can't get over her magical images.
Sheila works with a pinhole camera. As she described to me, "The exposures are longer to compensate for the pinhole, which is why you will see subtle blur and motion in all of my images. Since the world rarely stands still, my pinhole camera captures all the beautiful motion and energy onto the negative, thus resulting with dreamscape-like qualities." Wow. Even Sheila's description of her art is breathtaking!
Aren't these photos exquisite? Such a fresh and invigorating take on the standard engagement, wedding, and family portraiture. Sheila also has an Etsy shop and a Flickr photostream where she shares her other amazing work, including urban and nature scenes that are absolutely haunting. She's currently offering a holiday special as well: buy three prints and get one free! I think I'll have to order a few pieces as an early Christmas present to myself ;)Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you in the days to come!

these images are beautiful, thanks for the post, i'm off to check out her etsy shop.
