Sending fun things in the mail is my fave

I love good old fashioned mail so much that I often can't wait to get to the mailbox even though I know it's going to be a credit card application and a take-out menu. I'm thinking if I start sending surprises to my friends, maybe they'll reciprocate.

I would love to send some homemade party poppers filled with little surprises like dollar bills and chapstick.

Yee-Haw sells these letterpress oversized postcards that only require a stamp.

Or I could be secretive with one of these envelopes that need to be held up to the light in order to see the message.

It doesn't get much cuter than these letters from the world's smallest postal service.

Or I could go a little bigger and make my message poster sized.

And earlier this year I slapped an address label on a pinata and just sent it as is. It didn't even get smashed.

Wouldn't you be thrilled if one of these showed up in your mailbox?

  8. These are all great and I can't wait to use most if not all of these with my pen-pal. Already we've sent flip flops through the mail without even packaging them! Just write on the bottom, stick some stamps on the top, address and send!
