for the book worm mama.

I love to read and so the mother's day gift guide would not be complete with out listing a thing or to for the mom who loves to read.

The Mother in Me is a sweet + lovely read that pulls at the heart of any mom, new or old. Touching stories told by moms that help you connect and relate and realize, I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Seeing the Everyday.  I have yet to subscribe but have heard only the best of the best about this simply fantastic magazine.  Maybe I'm secretly hoping some certain person will surprise me with my very own subscription. hint, hint!

Kindle 2.  Really, do I need to say more?  Except that I totally really want, ahem, I mean NEED this beautiful piece of technology!

for the tech savvy mom.

Even if you are not tech savvy, how stunning is this memory key?  I wouldn't mind toting that around in my bag.  So much better than my drab black rectangular one.

Or why not get her this fabulous Kate Spade portable media case, to keep her iPhone looking chic and safe!

If you are anything like me, you gotta have a little sweet every now and then.  Cookies by Design has my absolute most favorite cookie bouquets EVER!  Honestly, I could eat every single cookie in the bouquet and not feel guilty.  Okay, maybe just a smidgen.  The cookies are delicious and will not disappoint.

Bake It Pretty has some really lovely little packaging options for the mama who spends the majority of her time in the kitchen baking away. How about buying her some of these pretty cupcake wrappers and a few fun toppers for her next confectionery masterpiece?

the life library.

Organize.
Just the word gives me shivers.
I must admit, it is my second love [after my husby and boys].
Finding new ways to organize my life releases my happy endorphins and gets me excited.

The Life Library is a new to me company that I am excited to introduce you to.  Fun + colorful binders that make it incredibly easy to get your life in order.  One particular one that I was quite interested in was the About Face.  It is a binder to help you along with "parenting your parents". A topic that we have all thought about at least once but have never really thought about everything that goes with it.  Although I am not quite at that point in my life, the binder definitely peaked my interest.  Lot's of great information, papers to fill-in-the-blank and make the transition easier on both parties.  Two thumbs up!  I can't wait to check out the rest of the loot!

DIY friday : personalized retro kids shirts.

For some reason I completely forgot about DIY friday the last couple weeks.  Not to worry, it is back and I have a super fun one for you today.  A big thanks to Jenn at Ambrosia Girl.  She posted a fabulous tutorial over at Tangled and True.  I seriously want to have a go at it!

L-bows.

If you have a little girl, this post is for you.
If you have little boys [like me], then you can lust after the beauty in this post.
Don't worry, I did, and I won't tell.

Now I know you are probably thinking, another bow/clip/barrette company, really?  But trust me, L-Bows is not just another bow company.  L-Bows offers such a variety!  From your simple, tried and true bow, all the way to the buggalicious ones that I would totally clip in any girls hair.

What could be better than the bows you ask? The price!  Awesomely affordable prices that will leave you buying a few more than you probably need.  But really, can you ever have too many accessories?

rain rain go away.

Ugh, I've been a horrible blogger today.  It is raining and pouring and I feel like doing absolutely nothing.  Except for working out this morning, I must confess, I have been completely lazy.  I suppose I needed a day like today and because I of the rain, I feel totally justified.  And because of the rain, I want one of these!

oblation papers.

I didn't do baby announcements with my first and decided on the whim to throw some together when my second son was born.  But I am thinking I'll be a bit more planned the third time around and do something unique like this.

[sorry for the poor quality. my scanner is broken, so I had to settle for a picture.]
I was browsing through my feb issue of Martha Stewart Living the other day and have found a lovely photograph that pretty much sums up what I'd love my dining room to look like someday. Simple, clean and just enough modern to satisfy my craving.

squeak squeak goes the owl.

I am a sucker when it comes to owls.  How adorable is this soft squeaky owl?  Oh, I wish I had a reason to buy it.

Having two little bambinos, I have found that I am constantly on the floor in the some way through out the day.  A few of these would be nice and make play time a bit more comfortable.

offi kip bed.

I still have not decided on a bed for my boys. They are happily sleeping on mattresses on the floor. That is, until I came across this one. I think it would be perfect and it is way way on sale.

I'm addicted to scones.
There is this great little cafe in the aerobics center where I work out.  I grab one after each work out to take home and indulge in later in the day.  It's a craving I must satisfy!
So my fabulous readers, do you have a to die for recipe?
If so please email it to me.  I'd love to try my hand at making them.

this young house.

Honest to goodness you simply must check out this new to me blog.  My fabulous sister introduced me to it and I have been spending way too much time clicking through the pages. Makes me wish for a large sum of money to freely spend on decorating!

benchwright.

Was just browsing through the new Pottery Barn catalog when I stumbled upon this beauty.  I believe this would make a stunning dining room table, for me, in my house.  Looks sturdy enough that it wouldn't be destroyed by thing 1 and thing 2.
