One of the greatest things about having this little blog is meeting all of you fabulous readers. Marie is a dear and recently gifted us with a sweet award. Part of the deal is that I answer a few questions.
Here goes:
1. Name an author you love: I have to admit, I'm not a huge novel reader. (gasp!) My favorite things to read are blogs, cookbooks, and childrens books. Oh, and I am quite excited to read Michael Pollan's new book Food Rules

.2. Books you love: All of Ina Garten's cookbooks
inspire me. The photography is beautiful and I love all of Ina's tips + of course her recipes.
3.. Something that always excites you: Road trips! inspire me. The photography is beautiful and I love all of Ina's tips + of course her recipes. 4. Something you hate: Running late. I really don't like to be late.

If you love to read children's books you have, have, HAVE to read "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" by Kate DiCamillo. As a 2nd grade teacher I have to admit it is absolutely adorable!

I love all cookbooks, but especially Giada De Laurentiis and Tyler Florence. Another great cookbook I just bought is The Conscious Chef.
3.. Something that always excites you: Traveling anywhere!
4. Something you hate: I really don't like when people are dishonest.

ReplyDeletei adore ina.... and all she does.. her store in east hampton was amazing... did you ever visit? and i also hate being late.... not only does it stress me out but i dont like disappointing the friend or appt at the other end... trying real hard to improve...

1. Name an author you love: Barbara Kingsolver (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle) was truly life changing for our family. It shifted our entire focus on how our family shops for and eats food... along the lines of Food Inc. and Michael Pollen.

1. An author I love: Dan Brown. His description of the cities that character Robert Langdon makes you truly feel that you're there without bringing your passport.
ReplyDelete2.Books I love: Memroirs of a Geisha. The movie gives the book no justice. It's an amazing story about a girl growing up with no choices to make for her life, except for being able to be with the love of her life.
3. Something that excites me: Weekends!
4. Something I hate: Taking the stairs to work. I only take them as punishment when I didn't have time, or I was too lazy to work out that day.
1. An author I love: Oh no, so hard to choose...how about autors? I love Diana Gabaldon, her books are so easy to sink into. I almost forget who I am when i read them...I live inside the book while the pages are open. Robert Jordan, who has sadly passed away before completing his series. They are phenomenal and I literally bow to anyone with the mental capabilities of writing anything so fine. Jean Auel, so insightful and different...but I don't hold out hope that there will be another book. David Eddings...his characters always make me smile.
