My Favorite Chocolate Cookie Recipe

Would you believe me if I told you I took 28 pictures of these chocolate cookies and it came down to this one? Sometimes simplicity is best.

While thinking of my favorite things I kept coming back to these cookies. I love 'em. I know it is not normally something you would see here, but I thought I would take the chance. They are my favorite after all. The secret's in the pudding....

My Friend Jami's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup of softened butter
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 large box vanilla instant pudding
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
your favorite chocolate chips. I like semi-sweet, Jami likes white.

Cream the sugars and butter in a large bowl. Mix in the egg, vanilla, and pudding. Slowly add the flour and baking soda, and the chips last. Mix just until well combined.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. You do not want to over cook these!! Then place on a rack to cool.

If sugar cookies are more your thing Maria's swears by her favorite recipe. They are soft, thick and buttery, and then slathered in frosting...dreamy.

Do you have a favorite cookie recipe?
