a how to : putting away the christmas tree.

I love putting up holiday decorations a bit early, but boy, right after the festivities I am ready to store and put them away.  In the past my ornaments, sadly, have been stored a bit haphazardly.  But not this year friends.  Here are a few helpful hints on how to easily store your Christmas tree decorations.

I purchased a few ornament containers at Target [look for them after Christmas when they go on sale!].  And then I categorized them.  A bit much maybe, but my inner organizer smiled.  I placed all the plush ornaments together, the wood, metal, balls, homemade [by my boys] and keepsake ones from when the husb and I were children ourselves.  Now if I ever want to do a theme tree, bingo, simple!

I also used Jordan's pro tip and wrapped my white lights up in a ball!

Voila!  Tree disassembled and ready to go for next year.
Don't you just love to have a place for everything?
I sure do.

ps. do you have a helpful hint, a little gem of knowledge?  email me at info@afewofmyfavorites.com and share!  sharing is caring after all :)
