room by room | your favorite space.

This has been a long time in the works.  I am so so sooo excited to introduce a new series on My Favorite Things.  It will run weekly.  Every friday.  How many weeks you ask?  That is totally up to you my friends.  I have some of my favorite bloggers lined up to share their favorite space but after that, I am leaving it completely up to you.  If you have a favorite space you would like to share (and it is super cool), then I want to see it.  You can email me for more information.

First up is Paula Coldiron from Two Ellie.  I honestly don't remember how I stumbled upon her blog but stumbled I did.  Two Ellie is a lovely design blog.  One you will visit and want to go back again. Always leaving inspired.  Here is what Paula had to say about her favorite space.

I was so very excited when Molly asked if I would like to participate in her new series. I live in Birmingham Alabama as a wife, mother of two, blogger, photographer, and lover of all things pretty. I really enjoy every space in my home for different reason, but if I had to choose I would go with my keeping room/office. It is the room I spend the most time in. It is the space where I blog, do all our billing, and our photography work from. Don't get me wrong it also the place where I can fully relax. That sofa is extremely comfortable and at times beckons me to lounge and read a pile of magazines. It is decorated for comfort, but without lacking in style. Well, at least I hope so. I am not a fan of clutter and it seems an office space is prone to looking that way so this year I made sure that everything has a spot. A good organizing system is key for me. I tend to lean towards neutrals, but add interest with the layering of textures. I am rather traditional, but love touches of boho, industrial, and rustic pieces. Also I am always making sure I include my children into my design. It is their home too, so I like it to look that way.

Thanks Paula!

  3. I always love seeing pictures of Paula's home (and it's never exactly the same as the last time--that girl is a mover and a shaker!). So restful.
