When I was pregnant with my first, I quickly realized there was a whole world of
diaper bags. Big. Little. Shoulder. Cross body. Backpack. Wipeable material. Diaper bags that looked like a hand bag. Diaper bags that looked like diaper bags. Inexpensive. Designer. Casual. All leather. I found it fascinating and overwhelming at the same time and quickly learned that no two diaper bags were like the other.
In no time, I had my list of must haves that my
diaper bag needed to possess. It could absolutely not, in any way, contain graphics that were cheesy and screamed "i'm an ugly diaper bag". It needed to be stylish and provide function at the same time. Ladies, I wanted the best of both worlds. You know, where diaper bag and hand bag collide. I had a tall order to fill.
Now that my oldest is almost 6 and I am the mom to three boys and I am currently back in the diaper bag stage, I have collected my favorites. I have my favorites pretty narrowed down to the top three best (in my opinion), one of them being from the collection at
Petunia Pickle Bottom.

For the past few weeks I have been toting around the
Sashay Satchel (in moonlit moments). Whenever I have switched to a new hand bag or diaper bag, it takes me a week or two to break it in, learn what I love and how best to organize all the contents. Here is what I discovered about the Sashay Satchel...
PROS
It is roomy without looking too big. I can comfortably fit all of baby N's necessities, plus all of my important belongings too. This is my first go around with bottle feeding and I can fit, two 9 ounce bottles in addition to a formula container and it doesn't feel crammed.
Lots of pockets. You can never have too many.
Can be carried on the shoulder or as a backpack. Major, major plus! Most of the time I do carry it on my shoulders, but when I need to have my arms and hands completely free, I'll swing it into the backpack position and suddenly it feels 10 times lighter.
You can purchase stroller hooks to conveniently hook it on when strolling about.
Gorgeous patterns to choose from.
CONS
I only really found one feature I wasn't 100% impressed with. The bottle pockets on the inside do not have enough stretch to easily fit a wide neck bottle. The placement, for me, was a bit awkward. But the outside bottle pockets work great.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the
Sashay Satchel. It is well made and passes each of my tests. I have a friend who has already called dibs on it once I no longer need to use a diaper bag.
Petunia Pickle Bottom also has quite a few more options in the diaper bag department. Be sure to check them out!
Petunia Pickle Bottom gave me a Sashay Satchel to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I only post what I love! If you are a company interested in having your product reviewed and think you would be a good fit, please email me at info(at)afewofmyfavorites.com for more information.
