Jenn (Ambrosia Creative) is back again because she is super awesome and so darn creative! Today she is sharing a few summer essentials for kids to keep the boredom away. Nothing worse than hearing your child say, "mom, I'm bored!". Thank you Jenn!

As much as we enjoy our neighborhood pool, there are plenty of summer days we prefer to lay low. The hot and humid weather makes it much too hot to play in the backyard, so I constantly have to find ways to keep the boys occupied indoors. Activity books have kept the boys somewhat busy this summer. Here are two of my favorites.
Purchased a few years back from Costco, The Klutz Paper Airplane Book
is still going strong in our home. If I were to log the time my kids
invested in this book, it would be hours and hours! My 6-year-old can
fold most of the planes halfway and needs just a bit of help from me.
I stumbled upon Play All Day at
the thrift store where I scored it brand new for just $1. I'm sure I
appreciate the artwork by Japanese illustrator Taro Gomi more than the
kids, but the fun, easy paper crafts inside kept my boys busy.
I'm always on the hunt for new books, so if you have
any other activity book recommendations for children, I would love for
you to share!
